Draw Near Night

Monthly Congregational Prayer Meeting: Draw Near Night

When: 1st Friday of the month starting in October.

Where: Either New Testament Hall/meeting room depending upon attendance.

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Taken from Hebrews 4:16 – “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

We as a church will gather once a month to pray for our country, our leaders, our community, our church and the various needs within our church. We will be using the Lord’s Prayer as our model. Jesus taught us to pray by saying “pray then like this.” Jesus teaches us what to pray, what to desire, and what we need. There will be six petitions that we will go through. A couple friendly reminders for our prayer gatherings.

  • Prayer is simply having a conversation with God.
  • Silence is okay.
  • Pray as you feel comfortable.
  • We will move from one petition to the next from the Lord’s prayer.

When the gathered church comes together in prayer we admit our dependence upon God, call upon his power, and wait expectantly for his answers. We hope that you are able to join us as we seek the face of the Lord together as a body of believers.
